Russian forces intensify drone attacks in Kherson region with nearly 5,500 weekly strikes

In the Kherson region, over the past week the Russian forces launched nearly 5,500 drones at the area—about 900 more than in the previous period.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

“Russian forces continue to increase the intensity of drone strikes on the Kherson region,” the statement said.

It is noted that last week the Russian forces launched nearly 5,500 UAVs at the region—900 more than in the previous period.

Most of the drones did not reach their targets and were destroyed. According to the infographic, 95% of the drones were intercepted.

As reported by the 30th Marine Corps of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, despite the active work of defenders, the Russian forces continues to use UAVs of various types and modifications. In total, from April 13 to 19, 2026, there were 5,490 recorded instances of FPV drone use, including 2,759 within the Kherson territorial community.

Using electronic warfare systems, 5,255 FPV drones were destroyed or suppressed, including 2,654 within the Kherson territorial community.

It is emphasized that the 310th Separate Electronic Warfare Regiment stood out the most, with its personnel suppressing or destroying more than 90% of the drones used.
