A Russian overnight drone attack on Odessa has killed two people and injured at least 15 others, Ukrainian authorities said, as emergency services continued clearing debris and assisting residents.
According to the State Emergency Service, the strikes hit residential buildings and civilian infrastructure, causing significant destruction and fires. A three-storey apartment building was struck, destroying several flats and injuring six people.
Two two-storey residential buildings were also heavily damaged. Emergency crews rescued one person and evacuated 20 residents, including two children, while seven people were reported injured in those incidents.

In a separate strike on another two-storey building, two people were killed and one person injured. Authorities later уточнили that the victims were a married couple, both aged 75.
Regional governor Oleh Kiper said the attack also damaged residential areas and struck a commercial vessel in the port. The ship, sailing under the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis, caught fire following the удар, though the crew managed to extinguish the blaze. No casualties were reported on board.

In the city’s Khadzhibeyskyi district, officials reported additional damage to residential buildings and a hostel. The blast wave shattered around 270 windows across the area.
Nearly 200 municipal workers and 14 pieces of equipment were deployed to deal with the aftermath. Emergency teams have already boarded up dozens of windows, while debris clearance operations continue.
Psychologists from the emergency services worked overnight to assist more than 50 residents, including children, who were left in severe stress following the attack.
