A Russian drone attack on the city of Sumy damaged a kindergarten building and killed a woman

“Today in the morning, Russian forces attacked the regional center with drones. As a result of strikes by two UAVs, the kindergarten building was damaged, and a fire broke out at the site. At the moment, there are reports of two injured women, however, the elimination of the consequences of the attack is ongoing, and information is being clarified,” the statement says.

Later at the site of the impact of two strike UAVs, the body of a woman was found, said the head of the regional military administration, Oleh Hryhorov.

“At the site of the Russian UAV strike in Sumy, the body of a woman was found. The deceased was a security guard of a preschool institution,” he wrote on Telegram.

According to him, children were not present in the facility.

It is noted that police officers evacuated the injured and handed them over to medics, and also helped other citizens leave the dangerous area.

Investigative-operational police teams, explosives experts, rescuers, and other relevant services are working at the scene.
