Russian forces launched hundreds of strikes across southern Ukraine over the past 24 hours, killing at least three people and injuring several others in the Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Kherson, Kharkiv and Mykolaiv regions, according to regional authorities.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, one person was killed and two others were wounded in attacks on the Zaporizhzhia district, regional governor Ivan Fedorov said on Telegram. Russian forces carried out 785 strikes on 36 settlements across the region during the day.
According to the regional administration, Russian forces deployed 630 drones of various types targeting the city of Zaporizhzhia as well as the settlements of Komyshuvakha, Kushuhum, Novooleksandrivka, Bilenke, Kanivske, Rozumivka, Tavriiske, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Lukianivske, Pavlivka, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Mali Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Huliaipilske, Hirke, Zelene, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, Pryluky, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Olenokostiantynivka, Tsvitkove, Nove Zaporizhzhia, Preobrazhenka and Tymoshivka.
Another 155 artillery strikes hit Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, Pryluky, Hirke, Huliaipilske and Staroukrainka.
Authorities received 16 reports of damage to residential buildings, non-residential premises and vehicles.
In the neighboring Kherson region, two people were killed and two others injured as a result of Russian drone attacks, air strikes and artillery shelling, regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin said.
The settlements of Antonivka, Komyshany, Bilozerka, Tomyna Balka, Romashkove, Rozlyv, Myrne, Tokarivka, Beryslav, Rakivka, Kostyrka and the city of Kherson came under attack over the past day.
Regional authorities reported damage to an apartment building, four private homes and several private vehicles.
Meanwhile, in the Mykolaiv region, three civilians were injured on May 10 during Russian drone attacks, according to the regional military administration.
Russian forces reportedly launched nine attacks using FPV drones and Molniya-type unmanned aerial vehicles against the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities in Mykolaiv district.
A 62-year-old woman and her 68-year-old husband were injured near the village of Solonchaky, while a 19-year-old man was wounded in the village of Ivanivka. All three were hospitalized and were reported to be in moderate condition on Monday morning, with no deterioration in their health.
In the Kutsurub community, four private homes and four vehicles were damaged in the attacks.
Russian forces wounded four residents of the Donetsk region over the past day, May 10, according to the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
According to him, the Russians wounded two people in Kindrativka, one person in Sloviansk, and another person in Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka. The total number of victims of Russian forces in the Donetsk region — 4,060 killed and 9,412 injured — does not include figures from Mariupol and Volnovakha.
Over the past day, Kharkiv and seven other settlements in the Kharkiv region came under Russian attack, leaving five people injured, according to the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
In Zolochiv, a 29-year-old woman was injured, while in Kivsharivka of the Kupiansk community, a 67-year-old man was wounded. In Slatyne of the Derhachi community, a 74-year-old man sustained injuries. In addition, a 22-year-old man was injured on the highway near the village of Yurchenkove in the Vovchansk community, while a 53-year-old woman was wounded in the village of Khatnie of the Velykyi Burluk community.
Medical personnel also assisted a 66-year-old man who had been injured on May 7 in the village of Yaremivka of the Izium community. Syniehubov noted that the Russian attacked Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv with drones.
Russian forces also attacked the Kharkiv region using six Molniya drones, seven FPV drones, and seven UAVs whose type is still being identified. In Kharkiv, a private house was damaged.
In Bohodukhiv district, damage was reported to a car in Bohodukhiv, as well as four private houses, four shops, four cars, utility buildings, and power lines in Zolochiv. In the village of Dovhenke in Izium district, a private house, a warehouse, and a car were damaged. In Slatyne of Kharkiv district, a car and a pharmacy were damaged. A moped was also damaged in Yurchenkove of Chuhuiv district.
