Russian attacks hit Kharkiv, Kherson, Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk

Russian forces continued attacks across multiple regions of Ukraine over the past day, killing one person, injuring dozens of civilians, including children.

The heaviest civilian toll was reported in the Kharkiv region, where Russian strikes targeted the city of Kharkiv and 11 other settlements, injuring 23 people, including four children.

According to regional authorities, seven people, including two girls aged seven and ten, were injured in the village of Dobrianka in the Natalyne community. In Balakliia, seven civilians were wounded, including a four-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy. Six women were injured in Shevchenkove, while a 70-year-old woman in Staryi Saltiv suffered an acute stress reaction.

Medical assistance was also provided to two residents who had been wounded in earlier Russian attacks on Kharkiv and Kupiansk Vuzlovyi.

Russian forces attacked Kharkiv city with drones, targeting the Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts. The strikes damaged infrastructure at the city zoo, where animals were killed and injured.

Across the region, Russia launched two missiles, four guided aerial bombs, 11 Geran-2 drones, eight Molniya drones, three FPV drones, and 18 additional unmanned aerial vehicles of unidentified types.

Damage was reported in multiple districts. In Bohodukhiv district, private homes, farm buildings, power lines, and vehicles were damaged. In Kupiansk district, strikes damaged shops, vehicles, warehouses, and residential property. Apartment buildings, private homes, and vehicles were also damaged in Balakliia, while houses sustained damage in Tsupivka and Dobrenka.

In the Sumy region, Russian forces attacked a residential area in the city of Shostka.

Emergency crews extinguished fires and carried out recovery work after the strike damaged a four-storey apartment building. A 34-year-old woman and a three-year-old girl were injured. The blast wave shattered windows throughout the building.

In the southern city of Kherson, a Russian drone struck a passenger minibus in the Korabelnyi district at approximately 8:00 a.m. A man was killed at the scene when the drone hit the vehicle.

Less than an hour later, another Russian drone targeted workers from a municipal utility company in the same district. Three men, aged 29, 39, and 55, were injured and hospitalized with blast injuries, concussions, and shrapnel wounds.

Regional authorities reported that Russian drone attacks and artillery shelling continued across dozens of settlements in the Kherson region throughout the day. Overall, one person was killed and 21 others injured in the region, including a child. Five private homes, a supermarket, and several civilian vehicles were damaged.

Russian forces also launched more than ten attacks on the Dnipropetrovsk region using drones and artillery.

In the Nikopol district, strikes targeted Nikopol and the Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets, and Pokrovske communities. Infrastructure and civilian vehicles were damaged. A 39-year-old man was injured and is receiving outpatient treatment. In the Synelnykove district, Russian attacks damaged an apartment building and several vehicles in the Shakhtarske community. Emergency services and local authorities continue to assess damage and provide assistance to affected residents across the regions.
