Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia destroys dormitory, leaves 11 injured

As a result of a massive Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia, a dormitory was hit, with several floors of the building destroyed.

Regional administration head Ivan Fedorov reported this on Telegram.

“The enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district for several hours. A dormitory was hit — several floors were destroyed,” he wrote.

In addition, several fires broke out in residential areas, and infrastructure facilities were also damaged.

 

 

The number of people injured in Zaporizhzhia as a result of Russia’s combined attack has risen to 11, including six children under the age of six.

He clarified that five apartment buildings and several private houses were damaged in the Russian attack.

“The dormitory has been destroyed, and infrastructure facilities have been severely damaged,” the official added.

The State Emergency Service reported that at one of the addresses, a residential building was destroyed from the first to the fourth floor, after which the fifth floor collapsed. Rescuers are conducting search and rescue operations, with a canine unit involved.

 

 

During the combined strike, Russian forces launched 20 drones and 8 missiles at the city.

Preliminary reports suggest that one person may still be trapped under the rubble. The rescue operation is ongoing.
