Unable to cross the kill zone in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces are reducing the size of their assault groups to as little as a single soldier.
Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Task Force, said this during a television broadcast.
“Attacks by small groups are ongoing. A year ago, we were talking about groups of four or five people, then two or three. Now there are groups that cannot really be called groups, because a group means several people — sometimes there is just one person. Of course, they move like this only to cross a certain section of the kill zone, then hide in some hole. After that, the next unfortunate soldier makes the same dash to the same hole. Once there, they somehow coordinate and then move out in a more organised group,” Trehubov said.
According to him, Ukrainian troops are increasingly encountering “these solitary trees of Russian origin” attempting to advance according to the principle of “one man against the field.”
