Russian military command has begun actively preparing infrastructure at training grounds and military training centres to receive and accommodate a new large-scale wave of mobilised personnel, according to agents of the ATESH partisan movement who say they are conducting systematic reconnaissance of military facilities in Russia and Russian-occupied Ukrainian territories.
According to ATESH intelligence, key training grounds in Russia’s Southern, Western and Central military districts are seeing the large-scale deployment of tent camps, upgrades to field catering and medical infrastructure, and deliveries of additional supplies, equipment and small arms. Additional groups of instructors with combat experience are also reportedly arriving at the facilities to organise accelerated basic military training courses.
The partisans reported particularly intensive activity at training facilities in Russia’s Rostov, Voronezh and Volgograd regions, as well as in the temporarily occupied parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
ATESH analysts say the current expansion of training-ground capacity indicates that the Kremlin is preparing for another round of mobilisation to replenish significant numbers of personnel killed or wounded on the battlefield.
The group also notes that the accelerated preparations are taking place alongside the digitalisation of military registration databases and increased administrative control over citizens of conscription age.
ATESH says it continues to monitor the movement of Russian forces and equipment, while information on the locations of infrastructure facilities and command posts is passed to the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
