Russian forces launched more than 892 drones against Ukraine overnight, with Ukraine’s Defense Forces neutralizing 710 targets, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the military, Russian forces used 753 drones of various types during daytime strikes. These included Shahed drones (including jet-powered variants), Gerbera and Italmas drones, as well as Parody decoy drones.

“With the addition of the night attack (139 UAVs), more than 892 enemy drones of these types were used over the day,” the Air Force said, noting that the main direction of the attack was Ukraine’s western regions.

The attack was notable for the fact that Russia once again used the territory of Belarus and Moldova for the flight routes of its strike UAVs toward Ukraine.

The assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

As of 18:30, preliminary data indicates that air defenses shot down or jammed 710 Russian drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and Parody types across almost all regions of the country.

Impacts from 27 strike UAVs were recorded at 26 locations, along with debris from downed drones.
