Russian forces launched 62 missiles at Ukraine over the past week, most of them ballistic, as well as more than 1,550 attack drones and nearly 1,560 aerial bombs.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said 13 regions had come under attack during the week.

“In this week alone, the enemy launched more than 1,550 attack drones, nearly 1,560 aerial bombs and 62 missiles at our cities and communities. Most of the missiles were ballistic missiles of various types,” Zelensky said.

Emergency services are continuing to deal with the aftermath of overnight and morning attacks.

In Kyiv, fires were quickly extinguished and emergency repairs are underway. Six people were injured in the capital and the surrounding region. Kremenchuk and Kryvyi Rih were also targeted with ballistic missiles.

“Wherever the Russians can reach with their ballistic missiles, they strike civilian infrastructure,” Zelensky said.

Two people were killed and 14 injured in Kryvyi Rih, while one person was killed in Sumy.

Russia also launched a new wave of drones, with air raid alerts continuing across numerous regions since the morning.

Zelensky thanked emergency workers, police officers and medical personnel responding to the attacks and called on Ukraine’s partners to provide additional air defence systems and interceptors.

“When North Korean ballistic missiles destroy infrastructure and take lives here in Europe, European interceptors cannot simply be allowed to sit in warehouses,” he said.

Zelensky stressed that additional air defence packages would directly help save lives and protect critical infrastructure.
