On Friday evening, a Russian military helicopter from the Baltic Fleet violated Poland’s airspace over the territorial waters of the Baltic Sea, reported the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces, as reported by the Polish Armed Forces.

On Saturday morning, the ministry clarified in a communiqué that the flight of the Russian helicopter was under control both by military radar systems and the civilian systems of the Polish Air Navigation Agency.

Polish air defense forces and assets were put on constant combat readiness to ensure the safety of the country's airspace.

According to Polish military officials, the nature of the incident suggests that Russia is intentionally testing the readiness of Poland's air defense systems.
