Sumy region

During the day from the morning of September 17 to the morning of September 18, Russian forces carried out 68 strikes on 29 settlements in 13 territorial communities of Sumy region, as reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

The largest number of strikes was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts. The Russians launched about 20 strikes with guided aerial bombs and 10 strikes with unguided air rockets, carried out 10 VOG drops from UAVs and more than 10 drone strikes. The Russian forces also attacked the Sumy region with FPV drones and shelled it with multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Vorozhba community, non-residential buildings and property of a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged. 

Over the past day, four people were evacuated from border communities of the Sumy region.

Poltava region

Last night, September 18, Russian forces attacked railway infrastructure in Poltava region. The strike targeted Myrhorod district, where fires broke out. This was reported by Volodymyr Kohut, Head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration.

According to the head of the administration, the shelling caused fires that were contained by State Emergency Service units. There is information about one person being injured.

Donetsk region

On September 17, Russian forces killed two residents of Donetsk region over the past day, according to Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.

He said that on September 17 the Russians killed two people in Kostiantynivka. Another 11 people in the region were injured during the day.

The total number of victims of the Russians in Donetsk region (3,641 killed and 8,149 injured) is given without taking Mariupol and Volnovakha into account.

Kherson region

In Kherson region, seven people were injured over the past day as a result of Russian strikes, as reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration.

Russian drone attacks, airstrikes and artillery shelling targeted the settlements of Sadove, Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Zymivnyk, Bilozerka, Romashkove, Doslidne, Dniprovske, Veletenske, Kizomys, Rozlyv, Nadiyivka, Stanislav, Shyroka Balka, Tomyna Balka, Sofiivka, Inhulets, Mykilske, Novotyahynka, Tokarivka, Beryslav, Tomaryne, Zmiivka, Urozhayne, Kostyrka, Krupytsia, Novoraysk, Chervonyi Mayak, Novovorontsovka, Osokorivka, Dudchany, Mylove, Burhunka, Virivka, Odradokamyanka, Novooleksandrivka, Zolota Balka, Vesele and Kherson.

Three apartment buildings, 35 private houses, as well as private garages and cars were damaged. As a result of Russian aggression, seven people were injured, including one child, Prokudin emphasized.

Kyiv region

In Kyiv region, warehouse facilities and a private house caught fire as a result of a Russian drone attack. This was reported by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

In addition, a fire broke out in a private house in Bucha district. State Emergency Service rescuers have already contained it.

“There have been no reports of casualties,” the administration noted, promising to provide more detailed information later.

Dnipropetrovsk region

Dnipropetrovsk region suffered from Russian attacks over the past day. As a result of the strikes on the Mezhivska and Pokrovska communities in Synelnykove district, two residential houses caught fire. Vehicles were also damaged. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fires.

The attacks continued on the city of Nikopol and Nikopol district. Residential houses caught fire, and a supermarket, post office, and other infrastructure facilities were damaged. In addition, a fire broke out in Dniprovskyi district due to a Russian attack, which firefighters extinguished.

Zaporizhzhia region

Over the past day, Russian forces carried out more than 500 strikes on 18 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region, reported the head of the Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.

“During the day, the occupiers launched 551 strikes on 18 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region,” his Telegram post reads.

According to Fedorov, Russian troops conducted 10 airstrikes on Rizdvyanka, Hryhorivka, Veselyanka, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, and Malynivka, while 358 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV drones) attacked Malokaterynivka, Chervonodniprovka, Bilenke, Prymorske, Plavni, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne.

Additionally, 3 MLRS strikes were carried out on Bilohirya, Malynivka, and Chervone, and 180 artillery strikes targeted Chervonodniprovka, Bilenke, Plavni, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne.
