On the night of February 3 (from 18:00 on February 2), the Russian forces carried out a combined attack on Ukraine, using missiles of various types launched from air and ground platforms, as well as attack UAVs. In total, the Air Force’s radio-technical troops recorded 521 aerial attack assets:
- 4 Zircon/Oniks missiles (launch area: temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea);
- 32 Iskander-M/S-300 ballistic missiles (launch areas: Bryansk region, Russia; temporarily occupied Crimea);
- 7 Kh-22/Kh-32 cruise missiles (from the airspace over the Bryansk region, Russia);
- 28 Kh-101/Iskander-K cruise missiles (from the Caspian Sea and the Kursk region, Russia);
- 450 attack UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types and other unmanned aerial vehicles launched from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Shatalovo, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia; about 300 of them were Shaheds.
The main directions of the attack were the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, and Odessa regions.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:30, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 450 targets — 38 missiles and 412 UAVs of various types:
- 4 Zircon/Oniks missiles;
- 11 Iskander-M/S-300 ballistic missiles;
- 3 Kh-22/Kh-32 cruise missiles;
- 20 Kh-101/Iskander-K cruise missiles;
- 412 attack UAVs of various types.
Impacts of 27 missiles and 31 attack UAVs were recorded at 27 locations, as well as the fall of downed UAV debris at 17 locations.
