Thanks to the support of the State of Qatar, a total of 83 Ukrainian children have been returned home.

This was reported on Telegram by Dmytro Lubinets, Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

"Today I met with the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Ukraine, Hadi Nasser Al-Hajri — our reliable and steadfast partner in returning deported and forcibly displaced children. Thanks to Qatar's mediation, 83 children have already been returned from temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and from Russia," Lubinets said.

He noted that just yesterday, with Qatar's assistance, three children and one adult youth returned to Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, under the presidential initiative Bring Kids Back UA, a total of 1,564 children have been returned.

Additionally, several groups of returned children participated in recreational and psychological rehabilitation programs in Doha, Qatar. Restoring their health after deportation is a top priority for Ukraine.

"Today was a special meeting — the children returned through Qatar’s mediation were with us. They sincerely shared their stories, dreams, and exchanged symbolic gifts. This is why we work," Lubinets emphasized.

The Ambassador and Commissioner also discussed further steps in child protection and humanitarian support.

Lubinets expressed gratitude to the State of Qatar and personally to Hadi Nasser Al-Hajri for their consistent position and unwavering support of Ukraine. Even as some countries have ceased participation in the return process, Qatar remains an example of true humanity and responsible international leadership.
