A grain elevator belonging to agricultural holding Prometey in Mykolaiv sustained significant damage in a Russian jet-powered drone attack on September 9.
According to the company’s press service, the drone directly struck the facility’s production infrastructure.
“This time, it was not simply an individual warehouse or building that came under attack. An entire production complex essential for receiving, storing, drying and shipping grain was damaged. The strike damaged a grain storage facility, grain dryer, warehouses, a truck weighbridge and the laboratory building. The company’s fleet of agricultural machinery was also hit,” Prometey said.
No Prometey employees were injured in the attack.
“This is already the second strike on Prometey’s production facilities in a short period of time. Previously, Russian drones attacked our Lebedyn grain elevator in the Sumy region, where part of the company’s infrastructure was also destroyed. But destroying our facilities does not mean stopping Prometey. We remain in Ukraine, we continue to work, and we will rebuild what we have lost,” said Rafael Goroyan, owner and chairman of Prometey’s Supervisory Board.
Company specialists are working at the site, documenting the damage and assessing the scale of the losses. Every destroyed or damaged facility will be formally documented for legal purposes.
