In Zhytomyr region, air defense groups established with the involvement of the private sector are already operating.
This was reported by the head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Bunechko.
“Air defense groups created with the participation of businesses, including critical infrastructure enterprises, are already active in Zhytomyr region. Currently, such a group has been established at JSC Zhytomyroblenergo; its personnel carry out combat duties and perform tasks to protect the region’s airspace,” Bunechko said.
He added that all units operate in coordination with the military command and are integrated into a single air defense system.
