British Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and founder of the Invictus Games Foundation, arrived in Ukraine at the invitation of the Kyiv Security Forum (KSF).
“He will take part in the 18th KSF—address the forum participants and join one of the panels featuring Ukrainian veterans,” the KSF said on its Facebook page on Thursday.
As reported, the prince arrived in the Ukrainian capital by night train from Poland on Thursday morning and is set to participate in the forum, which has brought together senior Western defense and government officials.
He said he wanted “to remind people back home and around the world what Ukraine is facing, and to support the people and partners doing extraordinary work every hour of every day under incredibly difficult conditions.”
During his speech at the KSF, Harry plans to draw on his military experience as well as the work of the Invictus Games. He will emphasize that the consequences of Russia’s war against Ukraine will be long-lasting and felt “for many years to come.”
As part of his visit, Prince Harry will also visit projects related to the work of the Halo Trust, a charity engaged in demining operations in Ukraine.
