President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had an audience with King Frederik X of Denmark.
The Head of State expressed gratitude to Denmark and the Danish people for their support of Ukraine from the very beginning of Russia’s full-scale aggression – including military and humanitarian assistance, the development of joint defense production, and investments in Ukraine’s defense industry.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also underscored the leadership of the Danish government in the fighter jet coalition – the delivery of all promised F-16 aircraft to Ukraine and the training of pilots.
The President congratulated Denmark on assuming the Presidency of the Council of the EU and emphasized that Ukraine has fulfilled all necessary steps to begin real EU accession negotiations. Our state is fully prepared to open all negotiating clusters during the Danish Presidency in the next six months.
Topics discussed during the audience included patronage of war-affected regions, development of Ukrainian-Danish cooperation in military medicine, and support projects for Ukrainian veterans. Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited Danish companies to cooperate with their Ukrainian counterparts in the fields of prosthetics and rehabilitation.
