Ukraine’s State Special Transport Service, acting on instructions from the Ministry of Defence, has installed anti-drone protection along 2,013 km of logistics routes. Work in this area has been under way since April 2025.
Another priority is the restoration and maintenance of road infrastructure. Since April 2026, units of the State Special Transport Service have carried out routine repairs and maintenance on more than 600 km of roads.
Work is currently continuing on 16 sections, while it has already been completed on another 41. In August alone:
- 214 km of anti-drone protection was installed along key roads;
- 130 km of roads were repaired.
Critical roads require additional protection because they are used every day to transport essential supplies and equipment, as well as to evacuate people.
Strengthening road protection helps reduce risks and maintain reliable transport links along the most dangerous sections of the front.
