From the evening of March 27 until the morning of March 28, more than 100 Shahed-type kamikaze drones targeted the Odesa region. While air defense forces intercepted many of the attacks, significant damage was reported to civilian, residential, and port infrastructure, with the Odessa district hardest hit, according to Oleh Kiper

Private homes and multi-story residential buildings sustained extensive damage, and a maternity hospital was seriously affected. Fortunately, patients, children, and staff were in shelters and were safely evacuated.

Tragically, two people were killed: a 34-year-old man at the scene and a woman around 35 years old, who later died in the hospital. 12 others were injured, including a child. Among the injured, one person is in critical condition, six are in moderate condition, and the remainder are receiving outpatient care.

After the air raid ended, emergency services were fully mobilized to address the aftermath. Firefighters quickly extinguished fires, and debris removal has now been completed.

Ongoing efforts focus on assisting residents, including repairing broken windows and doors in both multi-story buildings and private homes.

Gas pipelines were damaged in several locations, and relevant services are working on repairs. Electricity supply remains stable.
