For the first time in the past day, it was recorded that the number of offensive actions by the Armed Forces of Ukraine exceeded the number of offensive actions by the enemy. In other words, Ukrainian counteroffensive and offensive actions on the front were more numerous than those conducted by the opposing side, said Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.

“The intensity and number of combat operations on the Russian side has decreased, while the number of offensive and counteroffensive actions on our side has increased. For example, yesterday’s day, which ended at 00:00, was characterized by the fact that the number of our offensive actions for the first time exceeded the number of offensive actions by the enemy. That is, our counteroffensive and offensive actions on the front were more numerous than those carried out by the enemy,” Syrskyi said in an interview with the “Militarnyi” channel on Tuesday.

According to him, recently

“the Russians have been trying to intensify offensive actions, and the feature of this process is that they are attempting to concentrate their efforts on several directions — Pokrovsk, Ocheretynsk, Oleksandrivsk, Kostiantynivsk, Lyman, and partially Kupiansk.”

In addition, Syrskyi noted that low-intensity actions are being carried out by the enemy along the state border in Kharkiv and Sumy regions.

“But we are also conducting active actions; we are fully using our principle of active defense, carrying out counteroffensive actions where necessary and offensive actions where possible.”

Syrskyi recalled that during the previous offensive at the end of April, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated about 500 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory on the Oleksandrivsk direction — 12 settlements.

“The matter did not end there; it has now simply moved into a slightly different format. I will later report on what exactly,” he said.

“But we must not relax, because the enemy is strong. On the Pokrovsk direction, it has concentrated almost 99,800 personnel, and this is the largest grouping it has compared to other areas of the front. Of course, this is a huge number, and we are doing everything to reduce it,” he emphasized.
