In the Dutch city of Breda, a memorandum of cooperation between the ports of Odessa and Rotterdam was signed during the Dutch-Ukrainian business forum, reports Ukrinform.
The signing took place with the participation of Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Taras Kachka, Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Sjoerd Sjoerdsma, and CEO of the Port of Rotterdam Boudewijn Siemons. The leadership of the Port of Odessa also joined the event online.
Key areas of cooperation include: shore power supply for vessels; port security in the context of war and climate risks; dredging and channel development; development of passenger and cruise infrastructure; restoration of Odessa’s port infrastructure; support for logistics chains; provision of international technical assistance; and exchange of expertise.
