Nova Post is introducing its own courier delivery service in the Czech Republic, now available in Prague and the Plzeň, South Moravian, Moravian-Silesian, and Karlovy Vary regions, the company announced on Friday.

According to the company’s release, Nova Post has introduced precise two-hour delivery windows with mandatory prior notification. The service is available seven days a week.

The company explained that within cities, a courier will pick up parcels on request within one to two hours or at a time convenient for the customer. Within a region, same-day pickup is available if the request is placed before 10:00 a.m.

It is noted that within 24 hours, parcels can be delivered to 16 cities in the Czech Republic, as well as to Bratislava, Milan, Warsaw, and Berlin. Delivery to Lviv takes two business days.

“Expanding coverage for our own courier delivery service is part of Nova Post’s strategic development in the Czech Republic. We aim to make the service as fast as possible and tailored to our customers’ daily needs. If the pilot is successful, we plan to expand this format nationwide starting in June,” says Andriy Artemenko, CEO of Nova Post in the Czech Republic.

He added that, if the pilot is successful, the company plans to expand this model nationwide starting in June. Customers can also pay online, in cash, or by bank card via a POS terminal directly upon pickup or delivery. For parcel lockers, payment is available through the Nova Post mobile app.

Last year, the NOVA Group handled 522 million shipments, including 29 million in Europe. The group, currently ranked 30th worldwide among express delivery and postal operators by shipment volume, aims to enter the global top 20 by 2030 and increase annual shipments to 2 billion.
