Training has begun in Norway for specialists from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense on state quality assurance under the “Train the Trainer” program (AQAP Awareness Train the Trainer Session).
After completing the courses, they will return to Ukraine as national trainers in the state quality assurance system to strengthen this area within the defense industry.
The training involves representatives from the Main Directorate of State Quality Assurance and the National Defense University of Ukraine. Participants will study the principles of building state quality assurance systems in NATO member countries, as well as practical experience in their implementation, in accordance with AQAP 2310, AQAP 2110, and AQAP 2131 standards. Norwegian and British instructors are conducting the courses.
A dedicated module of the program focuses on implementing modern quality management methods during the procurement and production of weaponry.
The training is being held at the invitation of the Norwegian Defense Materiel Agency (NDMA) as part of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of Norway, signed in 2025. The document establishes a strategic partnership between the parties in ensuring the quality of defense products.
