Nearly 2,300 Russian drones attack Kherson in one week

Over the past week, Russian forces launched nearly 2,300 drones over Kherson region, 81% of them destroyed by Ukrainian defenders, the Kherson Regional Military Administration reported on Telegram.

“Russians continue to terrorize Kherson from the sky. In just the past week, there were almost 2,300 drone attacks,” the statement said. Thanks to the effective work of Ukrainian forces, 1,850 UAVs (81%) targeting people and civilian infrastructure were destroyed.

According to a briefing by Pavlo Drohal, spokesperson of the 30th Marine Corps, from September 22 to 28, 2025, Russian forces continued attacking the civilian population of Kherson region and the city itself. During this period, the Russian forces carried out 477 strikes on Ukrainian positions and civilian infrastructure, as well as 10 airstrikes.

The Russians continue using UAVs of various types and modifications, heavily impacting civilians and critical infrastructure. In total, 2,276 FPV drone attacks were recorded, 659 of them within the Kherson territorial community. Using electronic warfare systems, 1,850 FPV drones were destroyed or suppressed, including 503 in the Kherson territorial community.
