Naftogaz of Ukraine has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with global energy technology company Baker Hughes, paving the way for cooperation across Ukraine’s oil, gas, and broader energy sectors. The agreement was signed during CERAWeek 2026 in Houston, Texas.
“The memorandum with Baker Hughes enables a systematic approach to developing new projects using advanced technical and operational solutions. For us, this is about improving infrastructure efficiency and enhancing equipment reliability,” said Sergii Koretskyi, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
Under the MoU, the two companies will collaborate on assessing and preparing potential projects in exploration and production, oil and gas transportation and storage, refining, petrochemicals, and power generation.
Tayo Akinokun, Senior Vice President for Global Geozones at Baker Hughes, highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership.
“Ukraine’s energy sector has incredible potential to provide power to the nation and across Europe. This MoU sets the stage for further collaboration that will help unlock security and prosperity for Ukraine and its people,” he said.
The agreement signals a step toward strengthening Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and expanding international partnerships to enhance efficiency, reliability, and energy security.
