Mykhailo Fedorov: Drone Line units are destroying every fourth target on the front

Units involved in the Drone Line project, launched in spring 2025, are currently destroying one in every four targets on the front, Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov reported.

“Today, the Drone Line unites over 1,000 crews. In March alone, they struck more than 10,500 Russian troops and hundreds of pieces of equipment,” Fedorov wrote on his Telegram channel.

The minister recalled that the project initially brought together five of the most effective units, identified through the Army of Drones system: the 20th Separate Brigade “K-2,” 429th Separate Brigade “Achilles,” 427th Separate Brigade “Rarog,” 414th Separate Brigade “Madjar Birds,” and the 3rd Border Guard Detachment “Phoenix.” Their combat experience formed the basis for deploying the Drone Line across the front. The key mission of these units is to create a 10–15 km deep killzone where the enemy cannot advance without losses. Drones accompany infantry, detect, and destroy targets even at a distance.

Fedorov also noted that work is underway to attract international support for the project.

“The Netherlands has allocated $880 million to the Drone Line — allowing the purchase of FPV, ISR, and bomber drones to create killzones on the front. The Drone Line continuously recruits UAV operators, engineers, IT specialists, analysts, and anyone ready to work with technology in the war,” he summarized.
