A missile struck a vessel in the Black Sea near Odessa as the city came under a combined Russian attack.
According to preliminary information, the attack involved:
- 6 Banderol rocket drones;
- 4 Kh-59 missiles;
- 2 Kh-31P missiles;
- 4 Kh-22 missiles;
- 2 Geran-5 UAVs.
The strike involved the following Russian aircraft:
- 4 Tu-22M3 strategic bombers;
- 1 Su-35 fighter aircraft;
- 2 Su-34 fighter-bombers;
- 1 Su-30 fighter aircraft;
- 1 Su-57 fifth-generation fighter aircraft.
Further details about the damage and possible casualties are being clarified.
UPDATE
The Ukrainian Navy has released a photograph of a grain vessel engulfed in flames after being struck in the waters off Odessa. According to the Navy, the vessel was hit by Russian Kh-59/Kh-69 air-launched missiles.
5 crew members were killed in the attack. The fate of another five sailors remains unknown.
8 crew members were rescued and transported to a hospital in Odessa for medical treatment.
