Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk and Kherson regions targeted in overnight Russian attacks

Russian forces carried out a series of attacks across Ukraine from the evening of 23 June through the night of 24 June, targeting Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, and Kherson regions, as well as other areas.

In the Kharkiv region, one 56-year-old woman was killed and several people were injured in a series of drone attacks, according to the regional prosecutor’s office.

In Balakliia, a drone strike on residential areas killed a woman and caused damage to homes and a shop. Earlier, in Kharkiv’s Industrial District, a drone struck an unfinished residential building, while another attack in the Osnovianskyi district damaged housing and vehicles, leaving civilians with stress-related injuries.

Additional strikes on 23 June included guided aerial bombs hitting Shevchenkove in Kupiansk district, where a woman was injured and civilian infrastructure including homes, a kindergarten, and shops were damaged.

In the Sumy region, Russian drones struck a bakery in Hlukhiv during operational activity, damaging the building and transport vehicles. No casualties were reported in this specific incident.

Over the past day, additional attacks in the region resulted in several injuries, including two men wounded in the Sumy community and other civilians who later sought medical assistance after earlier strikes. Authorities also reported damage to residential buildings and transport infrastructure in multiple communities.

In the Donetsk region, six civilians were injured in Druzhkivka during sustained Russian shelling on 23 June.

Regional police recorded more than 1,200 strikes across six settlements along the front line and residential areas. Dozens of civilian objects were damaged, including residential homes and local infrastructure.

In the Kherson region, Russian drone and artillery attacks killed one person and injured seven others across multiple settlements, including Kherson city and surrounding communities.

Damage was reported to apartment blocks, private houses, agricultural facilities, communication infrastructure, and vehicles.
