Russian forces are testing new potential directions for future offensives in the Kharkiv region, but Ukrainian forces are maintaining control and repelling the attacks, said Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

“We are observing that the Russians are probing, possibly new areas they may choose as priorities for future offensives and attempts to advance deeper into our territory. So far, all these attempts have been unsuccessful for them. Our soldiers fully control all directions,” he said.

Syniehubov noted that the Kupiansk and Izium directions are under constant attack.

“On average, we have around 200 combat engagements per day across the entire front line. This shows that they are constantly attacking, not reducing pressure, and the Kharkiv region remains a priority for them,” he said.

The head of the regional administration уточнив that Russian forces have recently intensified strikes, including on the city of Kharkiv, using “Molniya” drones. According to him, the strikes target local residents and civilian infrastructure.

“They cannot forgive that the Kharkiv region is holding on, that the city of Kharkiv continues to live in relatively safe conditions,” he added.

Syniehubov also said that Russia is attacking the Kharkiv region with “Shahed” drones, guided aerial bombs, and missile strikes are also being recorded.
