On October 2, 2025, JYSK opened its 110th store in Ukraine and its eighth in Odessa. The new store is located on the second floor of the Mayak A1 shopping center, in the densely populated Tairova district, near other retail outlets.
The store’s retail space is 950 m² and features the JYSK Compact format—a tailored store concept that allows a full range of products to be displayed on a smaller footprint while maintaining Scandinavian aesthetics and a quality shopping experience.
On the eve of the opening, JYSK also hosted a special event for business clients, including representatives from HoReCa, offices, beauty salons, hotels, and studios. Guests had the opportunity to explore the product range, learn about business solutions for furnishing hotels, offices, cafes, and salons, and register on the JYSK B2B platform for ongoing discounts and support from a personal manager.
“Despite the challenges of recent years, we continue to invest in the Ukrainian market. The opening of our 110th store is another step in our sustainable growth strategy. The JYSK Compact format allows us to be closer to customers in densely populated cities while maintaining full access to our popular Scandinavian-style home products,” said Evhen Ivanytsia, Country Director of JYSK Ukraine. “We are also actively developing our B2B segment—for businesses looking to furnish their spaces with quality and style. Odessa has great potential in this area.”
In honor of the opening, the store is also hosting a charity campaign. Additionally, all JYSK stores have launched a charity initiative to support Ukrainian pilots. From October 2 to 15, anyone can contribute to the collection of fire-resistant flight suits for military personnel by purchasing a charity sticker at the checkout.
JYSK is part of the family-owned Lars Larsen Group, which operates over 3,500 stores in 48 countries.
In the 2024/25 financial year, JYSK’s revenue amounted to EUR 6.2 billion.
