An Italian public transport company from Abruzzo will donate eight large buses to Lviv free of charge.
The buses are expected to arrive in Lviv by the end of this week, the press service of the Lviv City Council reported.
According to Oleh Zabarilo, Director of the Department of Urban Mobility and Street Infrastructure of the Lviv City Council, the buses are 12-meter Temsa models of Turkish manufacture, meeting Euro 5 standards.
In Italy, the buses were used for intercity routes in the city of Pescara and its surroundings. The vehicles are in good working condition and meet the technical requirements necessary for further operation.
“During our working visit, we verified that the buses are in proper technical condition. A decision will later be made regarding how exactly these buses will be used in our city,” the official said.
It is worth noting that Basel previously donated up to 25 used large trams with low-floor sections to Lviv, as well as 10 smaller cars for spare parts.
