Heavy Russian strikes across Ukraine leave dozens dead and injured

Russian forces continued their widespread attacks across Ukraine over the past 24 hours, targeting multiple regions with drones, artillery, airstrikes, and missile systems. The assaults caused civilian casualties, damaged homes, and disrupted infrastructure.

In Zaporizhzhia region, 814 attacks struck 35 settlements. One person was killed and ten others were injured. Authorities reported extensive damage to residential buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure, including a Nova Poshta terminal in Zaporizhzhia, where seven employees were wounded and six suffered concussions. Regional Governor Ivan Fedorov said the strikes involved 466 unmanned aerial vehicles (mostly FPV drones), 323 artillery strikes, five rocket attacks, and 20 airstrikes across multiple communities.

In Kherson region, Russian attacks hit 39 settlements, killing one person and injuring nine, including a child. Settlements affected included Antonivka, Bilozerka, Berislav, and the regional capital. Housing, social infrastructure, and utility networks were damaged, including two multi-story and six private homes, a gas pipeline, a prison facility, and vehicles.

Dnipropetrovsk region also experienced strikes in Nikopol, Synelnykove, and Pavlohrad districts, leaving two people injured. The attacks damaged homes, farm buildings, an agricultural enterprise, and vehicles.

In Mykolaiv region, an FPV drone struck a bus carrying company employees in Kutsurub community, injuring a 69-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman. Earlier attacks targeted the Ochakiv community seven times with drones, while a ballistic strike in Voznesensky district using an Iskander-M missile caused no casualties.

In Donetsk region, Russian attacks killed five civilians and injured six others. Fatalities were reported in Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka, Oleksandrivka, and Mykolaivka, bringing the overall toll in Donetsk to 4,090 dead and 9,036 injured, excluding Mariupol and Volnovakha.

In Sumy region, attacks hit 31 settlements, damaging energy infrastructure, rail lines, homes, and vehicles. Two people were killed, and nine others were injured, including incidents involving drone strikes on a grain truck and a motorcycle. Additional injuries were reported in Shostka and other local communities.

In Kharkiv region, attacks affected the city and 16 nearby settlements. Ten people were injured, including elderly residents and a man who experienced a severe stress reaction. Russian forces used missiles, guided bombs, and 39 drones of various types, including Geran-2, Lancet, Molniya, and FPV drones. Infrastructure damage included electrical networks, civilian enterprises, apartment windows, vehicles, and homes across Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Izium, Chuhuiv, and Bohodukhiv districts.

Authorities are conducting on-site inspections, documenting damages, and providing medical aid. Police and explosive ordnance specialists are assessing affected areas to ensure civilian safety.
