General Staff: Russians carried out over 5000 attacks on the frontline in a month

Between March 11 and April 11, Russian troops launched 5,124 attacks along the frontline. 

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

"Today marks exactly one month since the Russian Federation refused to accept a full and unconditional ceasefire proposed by the American side during negotiations. Continuing its unprovoked armed aggression against Ukraine, Russian forces conducted 5,124 attacks from March 11 to April 11. The breakdown by direction is as follows: Kharkiv – 130; Kupiansk – 206; Lyman – 627; Siversk – 149; Kramatorsk – 140; Toretsk – 666; Pokrovsk – 1,739; Novopavlivka – 398; Huliaipilla – 152; Orikhiv – 179; Prydniprovske – 59; Kursk – 679," the statement reads.

According to the General Staff, during this period of armed aggression, Russian losses amounted to:

  • Personnel – 42,511 (including over 21,000 killed),
  • Tanks – 286,
  • Armored fighting vehicles – 721,
  • Artillery systems – 1,757,
  • Multiple launch rocket systems – 50,
  • Air defense systems – 29,
  • UAVs – 2,796,
  • Missiles – 16,
  • Vehicles – 3,684,
  • Special equipment – 24,
  • Helicopters – 4.

In addition, the Russian forces deployed units of the North Korean armed forces, totaling over 12,000 soldiers.

Losses among this North Korean contingent (since the beginning of operations in the Kursk sector) amounted to about 4,000 personnel, including over 3,000 wounded. Of the four nominal North Korean brigades, one has been effectively destroyed and three have lost combat effectiveness.
