A number of Ukrainian and Spanish businesses have signed agreements as part of implementing the Memorandum on Joint Production between the Ministries of Defense of Ukraine and Spain, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva reported.
“This is a framework document that opens a new stage of cooperation – from support to the joint development of defense capabilities. Importantly, a practical step was already taken during the visit: four agreements were signed to implement it. (…) This involves cooperation in the missile sector, air defense, and unmanned technologies – critically important for strengthening the protection of Ukrainian airspace,” Zhovkva wrote on Facebook.
Specifically, agreements were signed between the Spanish group Sener and the Ukrainian company Fire Point, between Sener and the State Enterprise “Luch,” between Sener and NVP Radioniks, and also between the company Escribano and the Ukrainian UAV manufacturer Skyeton.
“We are gradually moving toward deeper integration of Ukraine’s defense industries with those of our partners. It is such decisions that build long-term resilience,” Zhovkva emphasized.
