Ukraine and Denmark are deepening cooperation in air defense and defense industry development, according to discussions between Ukraine’s Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and Denmark’s Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.
The Ukrainian side expressed gratitude for Denmark’s consistent support and effective collaboration in defense matters.
Special attention was given to the effectiveness of the Danish model for supporting the defense industry. In 2025, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense attracted over $2 billion for domestic production through this model.
Mykhailo Fedorov noted that, thanks to Denmark’s efforts, F-16 fighter jets are already protecting Ukrainian airspace. The defense ministers also discussed prospects for supplying weapons for these aircraft and further supporting their operations.
A key focus of the talks was cooperation with defense companies. Denmark plans to establish an ecosystem of defense companies on its territory, while Ukraine is ready to share its technological expertise.
Additionally, Fedorov proposed involving Denmark in several priority projects, including basic support for Ukrainian brigades with drones and the transformation of military personnel training systems.
