Germany will lead a new Coalition of Capabilities, which will focus on electronic warfare. This was announced by acting German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius before the start of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting.

The politician noted that Germany had formed this new coalition in addition to the eight already existing "coalitions of capabilities," with ten partners having already joined.

"This concerns a very important and increasingly important area – electronic and radio-electronic warfare," said the head of Germany's Ministry of Defense.

He explained that this includes, for example, the protection and strengthening of one's own communications, as well as the identification and disruption of the enemy's communications (REW).

According to Pistorius, Europeans are increasingly realizing that they have a special responsibility for supporting Ukraine and its future.

"Our goal is and must remain the restoration of peace, freedom, and security on the European continent. It is absolutely clear to me that we need to continue to have a strong military Ukraine and that it needs our support. Only then can we clear the way for a peaceful resolution," he emphasized.

The politician mentioned the coalition agreement signed this week, which defines the directions of work for the future government, emphasizing that this document "sends another clear message: we will not weaken our support for Ukraine; we will not stop our support for Ukraine; the Ukrainian people can count on us."
