Russian forces in the Pokrovsk direction are attacking dams to flood Ukrainian defensive lines and positions while stockpiling reserves, the 4th Operational Brigade “Rubezh” of the National Guard of Ukraine reported on Facebook.

“No active assaults have been recorded this week. Due to adverse weather conditions, enemy movement has been minimized, but we observe signs of personnel buildup. Likely, after heavy losses during the autumn-winter campaign, the invaders are preparing reserves for an offensive during the ‘green season,’ hoping to move undetected by our drones in dense vegetation,” the report says.

At the same time, the Russian forces has carried out attacks on dams in nearby areas amid naturally rising water levels.

The military emphasized that Russia’s goal is to flood Ukrainian defensive lines, including positions of UAV units, electronic warfare units, and artillery.

“With these actions, the invaders aim to complicate Ukrainian logistics as much as possible and prevent rapid maneuvering of the Defense Forces during future counterattacks,” the statement added.

Units of the “Rubezh” brigade are adapting to the changing situation and continue strengthening defensive positions despite Russian attempts to reshape the landscape in their favor.

The situation remains dynamic and challenging, as the Russian forces are committing all efforts to advance under the cover of bad weather.
