A presentation of the public-private partnership project for the First and Container Terminals of the Chornomorsk seaport was held in Istanbul for international companies interested in participating in the tender. The event was organized by the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
The presentation was attended by First Deputy Minister Alona Shkrum and Deputy Minister Andrii Kashuba, as well as representatives of Ukrainian and international companies operating in the fields of port infrastructure, logistics, investment, and finance.
“More than 10 international companies attended the event, including companies from Asia, North America, our Black Sea region, and MENA countries. This is not the first such event over the past year. In this format, we present the project to investors so that as many of them as possible understand the opportunities for partnership, become interested in our projects, participate in them, and accordingly we can obtain better conditions and proposals,” Alona Shkrum emphasized.
During the meeting, potential investors were presented with the key parameters of the project, the stages of the tender procedure, and the opportunities for private partners to participate in the development of the terminals.
“The meeting in Istanbul became an important platform for open and substantive dialogue with representatives of international business regarding participation in a strategic infrastructure project at the Chornomorsk seaport. We see investors’ interest in the development of Ukraine’s port infrastructure, which is crucial for strengthening the country’s logistics potential and economic recovery,” said Andrii Kashuba.
The presentation in Istanbul continued a series of international meetings dedicated to the tender to select a private partner for the First and Container Terminals of the Chornomorsk port, which had previously been held with the participation of Ukrainian and international businesses in other countries.
