The feature film “Bucha,” directed by Stanislav Tiunov and based on real events from the first months of the full-scale invasion, will be released on February 24 on the online platforms Apple TV and Amazon in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

The story follows a citizen of Kazakhstan who, thanks to his passport, is able to travel to territories temporarily occupied by Russia and evacuate civilians. He witnesses firsthand what is happening in Bucha and other cities and towns seized by Russia: the heroism of ordinary Ukrainians and the brutality of the Russian forces. The film’s international recognition is important for shaping an objective understanding of the events in Ukraine.

Konstantin Gudauskas is a Lithuanian Jew, a citizen of Kazakhstan, an activist who has received asylum in Ukraine, and lives in Bucha when the war begins. After the Russian invasion, because of his Kazakh passport and citizenship, he is able to travel to the Russian occupied territories and extract civilians from there. While saving 203 people, Konstantin observes firsthand the horrors of war and atrocities of the Russian occupation committed by Russian troops - murders, robberies, rape.

The film was produced by Buchafilm LLC, with distribution handled by B&H Film Distribution Company.
