A meeting was held at the Rivne Regional State Administration (RSA) with representatives of the British company Tellus Conservation, which plans to launch biochar production from forestry waste in the region.

This was reported by Rivne RSA on Facebook.

According to Deputy Head of Rivne RSA Oleksandr Kokhan, the cooperation has already yielded concrete results. The company has identified two potential locations and continues to consider proposals from local communities. Rivne RSA provides full support to the investor.

“The first funding has already been secured — this is a signal of trust in the region. Our task is to convert it into production, jobs, and community development,” Kokhan said.

It is noted that the company has already financed the development of project documentation and six months of research. The potential investment in the pilot project amounts to $14 million. Collaboration with engineers and local enterprises continues, along with work on licensing and permitting procedures. The next stage involves raw material analysis, technical planning, and finalization of the locations.

The Rivne Regional State Administration added that in July 2025, company representatives discussed the project idea and business model with the Head of Rivne RSA Oleksandr Kovalev. The meeting served as a continuation of the agreements reached during the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025.
