Ukraine and Austria have agreed to develop a joint roadmap for reconstruction projects that will enable Austrian businesses to participate in Ukraine’s recovery, Ukraine’s Ministry for Restoration, Infrastructure and Transport reported.
“The joint roadmap with Austria should become a practical tool with clearly defined partners, resources and timelines — from identifying reconstruction priorities to implementing specific projects,” Deputy Minister for Restoration, Infrastructure and Transport Artem Rybchenko said following his working visit to Austria as part of the European Forum Alpbach 2026.
The roadmap is expected to identify specific reconstruction projects, partners, resources and implementation timelines.
During the visit, Rybchenko also held meetings with representatives of Austrian businesses and the financial sector, including railway company ÖBB, energy company RAG Austria and PwC Austria.
The deputy minister also participated in talks with Austrian Federal Minister for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure Peter Hanke, Federal Minister for Economy, Energy and Tourism Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, and Austrian government coordinator for the reconstruction of Ukraine Wolfgang Anzengruber.
