At least 14 people were killed and 22 others injured in Russia's overnight attack on the Kyiv region, while emergency crews continue to battle fires at multiple locations, Ukraine's State Emergency Service (SES) said.
"Fourteen people have been killed and 22 injured as a result of Russian strikes on the Kyiv region. Emergency response operations are ongoing. The information is being updated," the SES said on Telegram.
Rescue teams are currently working at four sites in the Brovary district, two in the Bucha district, and one in the Fastiv district.
In the Brovary district, the strikes sparked large fires at warehouse facilities in Brovary, Velyka Dymerka, Kvitneve, and Peremoha. In the Fastiv district, firefighters extinguished a blaze involving vehicles at an industrial site.
In the Bucha district, crews continue to battle a warehouse fire in the village of Chaiky, while another fire at a logistics facility in Sofiivska Borshchahivka has been extinguished.
Air raid alerts remain in effect across the region, and emergency responders continue to work under the threat of renewed Russian strikes.
According to preliminary information, several of the victims were found near a railway platform close to the logistics centers that came under attack.
During the large-scale combined Russian missile and drone attack, rail traffic and station operations were temporarily suspended, while station staff and train passengers were evacuated.
