In 2025, Ukraine exported 15.4 thousand tonnes of organic berries to the European Union worth €39.8 million.
This is evidenced by the results of a study conducted in early 2026 by the certification body “Organic Standard” together with the State Institution “Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office” and the national project Diia.Business, as reported by OrganicInfo.
It is noted that export volumes decreased by 12.5% compared to 2024, while export revenues increased by more than 22%.
“Wild berries continue to form the basis of exports—11.8 thousand tonnes worth €27.1 million. Cultivated berries accounted for 3.6 thousand tonnes of exports worth €12.7 million. Among cultivated berries, raspberries and strawberries account for the largest export volumes, while among wild berries, blueberries remain the undisputed leader,” analysts add.
The study shows that Ukrainian products accounted for about 30% of EU imports of organic raspberries and about 45% of organic blackberry imports. Almost all organic blueberry imports into the European Union come from Ukraine.
“In 2025, organic berries from Ukraine were exported by 55 companies to 18 countries worldwide. The largest buyers were Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy, Germany, and Austria,” experts concluded.
