During the night of June 3 (starting from 6:00 p.m. on June 2), the Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 198 strike UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas drones, as well as Parodiya-type decoy drones launched from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The aerial assault was repelled by aviation units, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 a.m., Ukraine’s air defenses had shot down or suppressed 189 UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones, in the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.
Eight strike drones hit targets at seven locations, while debris from intercepted drones fell at seven other locations.
