Air defense shoots down 228 of 265 Russian drones in overnight attack

On the night of June 1 (starting from 6:00 p.m. on May 31), the Russian forces attacked with 265 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, as well as decoy drones of the “Parodiya” type, launched from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), and Hvardiiske (occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea).

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense systems shot down or suppressed 228 UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other drone types in the north, south, and east of the country.

There were 27 confirmed UAV impacts at 18 locations, as well as debris from downed drones falling at 12 locations.
