Air defense neutralized 15 Russian Iskander missiles and nearly 200 drones

On the night of February 12 (from 18:00 on February 11), the Russian forces launched an attack using 24 Iskander-M/S-300 ballistic missiles from the Bryansk, Voronezh, and Rostov regions of Russia, as well as from the occupied Crimea; one Kh-59/69 guided air-to-surface missile from the airspace of the temporarily occupied Donetsk region; and 219 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, along with other types of drones. The drones were launched from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Shatalovo in Russia, as well as Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea. About 150 of them were Shahed drones.

The main directions of the attack were Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Odessa.

The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data as of 09:00, air defense shot down or suppressed 213 aerial targets:

  • 15 Iskander-M/S-300 ballistic missiles;
  • 1 Kh-59/69 guided air-to-surface missile;
  • 197 UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, as well as other drones.

Hits by 9 missiles and 19 strike UAVs were recorded at 13 locations. Debris from downed targets fell at 14 locations.
