On the night of March 14 (from 18:00 on March 13), Russian forces carried out a combined strike on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure using attack drones and ground- and sea-launched missiles. In total, radar units of the Air Forces recorded 498 aerial attack targets:
- 2 Zircon anti-ship missiles (launch area – occupied Crimea);
- 13 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles (launch areas – Bryansk region, Russia);
- 25 Kalibr cruise missiles (launch areas – Black Sea and Caspian Sea waters);
- 24 Kh-101 cruise missiles (launch area – Vologda region, Russia);
- 4 guided aviation missiles Kh-59/69 (launch areas – Kursk region, Russia; occupied Donetsk region);
- 430 attack drones of types Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other drones from directions including Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Shatalovo, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russia; Hvardiyeske, Chauda – occupied Crimea, about 250 of which were Shaheds.
The main direction of the strike was the Kyiv region.
The aerial attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, drone units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defense forces shot down/suppressed 460 targets – 58 missiles and 402 drones of various types:
- 1 Zircon anti-ship missile;
- 7 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles;
- 25 Kalibr cruise missiles;
- 24 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
- 1 guided aviation missile Kh-59/69;
- 402 drones of various types.
Hits were recorded from 6 missiles and 28 attack drones at 11 locations, and debris from downed drones fell at 7 locations.
