On the night of July 22 (starting from 18:00 on July 21), the Russian forces launched an attack using one Iskander-M ballistic missile from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, three Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles from the airspace over the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, and 216 strike drones, including Shahed-type UAVs (including jet-powered variants), Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya-type decoy drones.
The drones were launched from the directions of Bryansk, Oryol, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, Donetsk in the temporarily occupied territory, and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by Ukrainian Air Force aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, air defense forces had shot down or neutralized three Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles and 204 UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other drone types, over the north, south, center, and east of Ukraine.
Hits by one Iskander-M ballistic missile and 12 strike drones were recorded at 12 locations. Debris from downed targets also fell at seven locations.
