On the night of May 4 (starting from 18:00 on May 3), the Russian forces launched an attack using 155 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet-powered variants), as well as Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya decoy drones. Launch areas included Kursk, Shatalovo, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (Russian Federation), as well as occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske (occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea).
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data as of 09:00, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 135 UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types and other drone types in the north, south, and east of the country.
Hits by 14 strike UAVs were recorded at 10 locations, as well as the crash of downed drones at 4 locations.
